Vogelherd Horses
These simple little pendants are based on a 30,000 year old carving found in the Vogelherd Cave, a Stone Age site in southwestern Germany, in 1931. They’re less than half the size of the original, and each one is a bit different!
Your pony will not be one of those pictured - it will resemble them, but will be made after your order is placed. Like some other Changeling items, these are mold-assisted: a simple silicone mold is used to get the shape started, and the rest is done by hand! Each wax model is individually worked, meaning that all are alike, but no two are quite identical.
Miniatures now available! Shrunken down from the Changeling original, these tiny ponies are about two-thirds of its size. It’s the same design and the same process, just at an even smaller scale!
