These are the seed husks of a sweetbay magnolia tree, split apart from a single cluster and then cast directly into metal. Just like my acorns, the organic material is destroyed completely in casting, leaving behind a perfect replica of the original object. Each one is completely unique, made by nature and preserved in bronze!
