Each of these special ladies is completely one-of-a-kind. Their bodies are individually sculpted over bellies molded from real acorns, and their wings are shaped from wax wire, one piece at a time, based on original Changeling drawings. This one has the wings of a bee - with some extra steps.
Some notes on goddess imagery in general: the basic iconography is found in ancient artifacts the world over, and typically it is believed to represent fertility in the literal sense, for people as well as for crops. However, here at Changeling, “fertility” has a much broader meaning: it applies to all forms of creation, creativity, growth, and potential. These goddesses are tokens of inspiration, luck, and sheer strength!
